Check out Matt’s chainsaw pumpkin. One little “error” turned into a fabulous design!
A Simple Forgetful Moment Leads to Inspiration
Every chainsaw project of course starts with a log. Or in this case two, even though that was not the intent.
This chainsaw pumpkin is plunge cut so that the inside is hollow and you can add lights or candles. However, there was a simple slip of the mind to cut the top off first to be a lid, and THEN hollow it out. Instead, it was just hollowed out and then there was no lid. What to do!?!?!?
Of course, everyone has an idea. But in this case I simply said “Just carve him a hat!”. That struck a cord, because that is such a simple task. Yeah, just carve him a hat! But yet, that is what Matt did. (After some grumbling of course..)
The Result is a Chainsaw Pumpkin to Love
How cute is he? We waited until night so we could place a candle inside and light him up. I am going to be so sad when he sells this one. But I know where I can get another! I hope he messes it up just as good as he did this one.
